Rising star Kira Balinger is 'nervous-cited' for her first movie, ‘Familia Blondina’.
"Nervous-cited" is how the Star Magic rising star Kira Balinger described her feelings as her first movie project, Familia Blondina, arrives in cinemas next week. Kira shared with PUSH her experience working on her debut movie. "Sobrang pressured ako because I don't know if I did a good job kasi you can't watch the movie ahead of time ‘di ba?
"Pero I'm very excited and very blessed to be a part of this movie kasi it really shows the journey of foreigners growing up here in the Philippines, experiencing the culture, and everything. So I believe a movie that we can learn from," said Kira.
The former ASAP BFF5 member said she can relate to her character in the movie as a foreigner moving to Philippines. "Sobra nga akong naka-relate kasi I grew up in the UK, tapos nag-move kami dito sa Pinas and sobra nga akong na-culture shock kasi sa UK sobrang tahimik. Pero dito sa Pilipinas, siyempre maraming activities, fiesta," she said.
After the comedy film, Kira will be showing her dramatic skills as part of the cast of the upcoming teleserye, Kapalaran.
Is Kira up for being paired in a love team?
"If ever I would be given a love team sana it’s someone whom I friends with, para we don't have to go through that awkward stage. Kasi ako, yung mga friends ko na guys dito sa industriya, I really treat them like brothers to me," Kira said.
A couple of months ago, Kira first admitted having a special connection with Hashtags member Ryle Santiago during her interview with Boy Abunda.
