The lifestyle/travel blogger comes to her best friend’s defense: “She definitely doesn’t need validation from anyone.”
Blogger Dani Barretto recently came to defend her good friend Bela Padilla from netizens who were insisting on answers as to when the actress is planning to settle down, or whether or not she has the intention of getting married at all.
All the grilling started when Bela turned to Instagram to share the good news that Dani is now engaged to her non-showbiz beau, Xavi Panlilio, following a successful engagement proposal on Sunday, February 17.
At one point, Bela was urged to address the uncomfortable marriage talk by putting the issue to rest once and for all.
“To stop the ‘when are YOU getting married’ comments, please enjoy this photo of me, not thinking of my future as much as you are [laughing emoji],” wrote the Meet Me In St. Gallen star in a new post on Monday, February 18.
Irked by this meddling into Bela’s personal life, Dani felt the need to step in and tell nosy fans off in a note she left in the comment section.
“Seriously, ang daming nagegealam [sic]. I swear, ang daming bored sa bahay. Sarap niyong putulan ng internet. Daming sinasabi,” she said.
“Can you just let my bestfriend live her life [sic]. She doesn’t need a man to complete her. And she definitely doesn’t need validation from anyone. If may love life, eh di okay. If wala, so what? All that matters is that she is happy. Don’t tell her what to feel or when to feel. Mind your own business,” she added.

Bela’s last rumored love life involved actor Zanjoe Marudo, with whom she starred with in the Primetime series My Dear Heart in 2017.
Her last public relationship was with film producer Neil Arce, now beau of fellow actress Angel Locsin.
