The 19-year-old actress shared that she chose to take a welding course over dressmaking: “Nag-welding ako, gumawa ako ng grill, ginagamit po namin yun hanggang ngayon... Tapos nag-electrical din po ako.”
Actress Liza Soberano surprised fans after revealing to have taken a crash course on welding during her early high school days.
The 21-year-old star gave away this surprising fact during her guest appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice with boyfriend Enrique Gil on Sunday night, after Vice Ganda shared that he once took the admission test in University of the Philippines where he passed a welding course.
“Nag-exam ako dun dati, pumasa ako pero ‘di quota course,” he said.
Enrique took this as cue for Liza to share her experience on welding as a high school student, having urged his girlfriend to tell her story to Vice.

“First year high school nag-aral po ako sa Pangasinan, per quarter po may ibang course na kailangan so ‘yung first sem ko, welding,” she said, citing that she chose the course over dressmaking.
He then turned to Enrique, asking, “Ba’t di ka mag-tubero?
Both Liza and Enrique, shipped together as LizQuen, will star in the new Antoinette Jadaone-helmed romantic drama Alone/Together, set to hit cinemas nationwide tomorrow, February 13.
