Ang dramatic at controversial-themed movie ng award-winning actress na si Ara Mina titled Immaculada, Pag-Ibig Ng Isang Ina is the opening film of the 2019 Singkuwento International Film Festival Manila Philippines (SIFFMP).
Ang Philippine premiere ng pelikula ay sa February 15 (Friday), 7 p.m., sa Leandro Locsin Theater of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), #633 General Luna St., Intramuros, Manila.
Written and directed by broadcast journalist and filmmaker Arlyn Dela Cruz, Immaculada, bida din sa Pag-Ibig Ng Isang Ina ang award-winning actress na si Ms. Elizabeth Oropesa, John Estrada (his first independent film), promising actors Akihiro Blanco, Elijah Canlas, at marami pang iba.
Ayon kay Ara, ang pelikula ay tungkol sa “dark tale of a mother's love” sa kanyang anak. Isa daw itong kwento ng twisted love na base din sa totoong istorya.
“All the actors in this film gave their all. I have never seen Ara Mina succumb in total abandon to a character. John Estrada's silent agony was infectious,” description ni Direk Arlyn sa role nina Ara at John.
Dugtong ulit ng writer-director about her cast, “Ms. Elizabeth Oropesa displayed an understanding of her character that allowed her to deliver what could be the most unforgettable yet disturbing portrayal of La Oropesa on screen. Watch out for Akihiro Blanco, he is a revelation.”
The film event is presented by MPJ Entertainment Productions, in cooperation with Asian Television Content Corporation and Film Development Council of the Philippines.
Ang SIFFMP Awards Night 2019 ay gaganapin sa February 22 (Friday) sa NCCA Theater.
Tickets are at P150 (per screening), available at major Ticket World outlets and at the entrance lobby of NCCA.
