Angel Locsin could not help but get emotional as she fulfilled her longtime dream of seeing her favorite band, U2, play live in their concert at Saitama Super Arena in Japan on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old star, who watched the concert from the VIP section of the audience, posted snapshots from the sold-out show on her Instagram account.
Buong buhay kong pinangarap to! “Buong buhay kong pinangarap to! Maraming salamat U2. Mahal kita Bono!” she wrote as caption, referring to the lead vocalist of the Irish rock band.
Revealing that she saw the concert with her The General’s Daugher co-star Eula Valdes, Angel went on, “Naiiyak ako na nagtatalon ako at wala akong matinong video, pero nag enjoy naman ako sa event.
The Japan concert is part of the U2’s Joshua Tree Tour 2019, in celebration of their seminal album and tour of the same name undertaken by the band in 1987.
Aside from Japan, the band will be bringing the tour in the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, India, New Zealand, and Australia.
Angel’s fangirl moment came after she was hailed as Forbes Asia’s latest Heroes of Philanthropy list for her efforts in giving out aid to the victims of violence and natural disasters.
