Angel Locsin took to her Twitter to react to being called a ‘Hero of Philanthropy’ by Forbes Asia.
The actress, who is known for her donations to the needy and volunteer work, thanked the media company for acknowledging her efforts.
“I never thought @ForbesAsia would ever mention my name, lol. Thank you! Filipinos have always been known for ‘bayanihan’.
“I’m nowhere near from being a billionaire, but I try my best to do my part in my own little way. I hope this would inspire other people to help as well,” she posted.
According to the Forbes, The General's Daughter star has donated a total of 15 million pesos over the past 10 years to various causes including education and disaster relief.
Angel recently has been very visible in efforts to help those affected by the recent earthquakes that rocked Mindanao. She is also an active volunteer for the Philippine Red Cross.
