"Decades old trees destroyed, crops, buildings, lives, no electricity, etc. etc. but everywhere we walked around the people are smiling and carrying along like nothing happened. It’s already cliche at this point to say how admiring the Filipino resilience is, but it is simply the truth," Wil posted.
He added, "It’s the main reason I, along with most others not from this country have decided to live here due to the uplifting attitude and positive mindset of the people to keep going. Mom’s attitude is to start replanting and fix everything up again! Back to work, life goes on!"
The YouTuber also paid tribute to his mom for being so selfless amid the calamity.
"Right before leaving the house, I noticed my mom packing boxes and boxes of donations for people around town. This is nothing new and something she has been doing since I can remember being alive," he remarked.
