"What a year!"
Vlogger Dani Barretto made this statement on Instagram Saturday, December 28, as she recalled the highlights of her 2019, from her engagement to her now-husband Xavi Panlilio to the ongoing construction of their dream family home.
On Instagram, the daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Kier Legaspi posted photos of herself throughout the year. "I remember praying to God before 2018 ended that I want 2019 to be my year. I specifically said 'Lord, ako naman. Let this be my year,' and he answered my prayer. Blessing after blessing came. I got everything I ever prayed for."
Aside from her engagement and the nearly-finished construction of her new home, Dani celebrated her marriage to Xavi in April, the birth of their first child Millie in September, and getting her first YouTube Play Button Award after more than six years of being a vlogger.
"But it wasn’t all happy though. We lost our Pikey this year," continued Dani, referring to the recent death of her grandfather Miguel Alvir Barretto.
"But what comforts me is that he is in a better place now. Happy and not suffering. This coming new year, we just want to be able to provide and give Millie the life that she deserves. Work work work!" she added.
Dani went on to express her excitement over what's in store for her and her family in the coming year.
"Thank you Lord for answering my prayer. Thank you for my husband, my daughter, and for the challenges that made my family stronger. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us, 2020! I have high hopes for you," she said.
