‘Magpapapayat na talaga ako’: Elha Nympha says losing weight one of her ultimate goals in 2020

Most of us want to achieve a healthy body — and Elha Nympha is no exception.When asked what her ultimate goal this coming 2020, the former <a href='https://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/thevoicekidsseason4/main'>The Voice Kids</a> contestant, now 15, surprisingly said she hopes to lose weight.“Next year my plan is to be fit po lalo. And also magpapapayat na po talaga ko,” she said during an interview at the rehearsals of the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2019. Nympha admitted that she has also been eating a lot of unhealthy food lately — leading her to gain more weight. “Isa po ‘yun sa mga goals ko kasi nowadays parang mga kinakakin ko mga unhealthy and all. Also kasi baka ‘pag tanda ko mahirapan na po akong you know, mag-change po,” she stated. According to the young artist, she’s been having a hard time finding the right clothes for her due to her body size. “Physical apperance din po. Kasi mahirap pong maghanap ng damit for me,” she said. Asked what her New Year’s Resolution is, she answered: “New Year’s Resolution is that ipa-promise ko na mas magugustuhan pa ng mga supporters ko ‘yung mga next na performances ko. And ayun, sa body.”Nympha, who has appeared in various Little Big Shots editions around the world, hopes to conquer the international music scene in the future. “Isa po ‘yun sa mga dreams ko - pasukin ‘yung international industry po. Sana po next year may dumating po,” she shared. With plans to go global, does she also see herself changing the sound of her music? Well, according to the 15-year-old singer, it’s OPM all the way. “I don’t think so. Kasi I’m more on OPM po. So kumakanta din po ako ng Pop. Siyempre po hindi ko naman po kakalimutan ‘yung nasimulan ko pong genre, which is ‘yung OPM po,” she said.
