Hit indie film Kita Kita’s Indonesian remake ‘Cinta Itu Buta’ hits Philippine cinemas

Philippine cinema hits another milestone as the top-grossing Pinoy independent film 'Kita Kita' gets an Indonesian remake titled 'Cinta Itu Buta (Love is Blind)'.

The movie's lead actor, Dodit Mulyanto, who takes on the character of our very own Empoy Marquez in the film, is currently in the country for a press conference on Friday, November 8.

According to Dodit, if the Philippine version shot scenes in Sapporo, Japan, the Indonesian remake was shot in Busan, South Korea. He is also starring opposite actress Shandy Aulia, who will be taking on Alessandra de Rossi's character in the movie.

Like Empoy, Dodit, who has a background in doing stand-up comedy, would also crack jokes during his meeting with the media.

When asked if he wants to make movies in the Philippines, he immediately said yes, and that he would love to do projects with Empoy.

As for his experience in the country, he said that he has already visited Intramuros, and went to the famed San Agustin Church as he is also a Catholic.

'Kita Kita's Indonesian remake 'Cinta Intu Buta' is set to hit Philippine cinemas on November 13.
