The Prince is part of Brunei’s polo team and is now competing in Batangas.
A real-life prince is competing in this year’s Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. Prince Abdul Mateen Bolkiah of Brunei is part of the polo team representing his country. He is the son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
His team claimed victory earlier this week after defeating the Philippines' polo team in their match at Inigo Zobel Polo Facility in Calatagan, Batangas. The team previously won bronze in the 2017 Sea Games in Malaysia.
Aside from playing polo, Prince Matten is very active in his royal duties. He recently traveled to Japan to witness the enthronement of Emperor Naruhito.
He is also a second lieutenant, and a boxing enthusiast, among others.
