Taylor Swift was crowned as the Artist of the Decade at this year's American Music Awards. The pop star performed medley of her top hits before receiving the award show's highest honor on Monday (Manila time).

Legendary songwriter Carole King presented the award to Taylor.

"The fact that this is an award that celebrates a decade of hard work, and of art, and of fun, and memories, all that matters to me is the memories that I've had with you, the fans, over the years. Guys, we've had fun, incredible, exhilarating, extraordinary times together and may it continue," Taylor said in her Artist of the Decade acceptance speech at the AMAs.

She added that she gets to be the artist that she is today because of her supporters. "Thank you for being the reason why I am on this stage from the very first day of my career until tonight. I love you with all of my heart," she stated.

Taylor also won Favorite Music Video for "You Need To Come Down," Favorite Artist - Adult Contemporary, Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock, Favorite Album - Pop/Rock for "Lover" and Artist of the Year.

The additional six awards she received on Monday made Taylor the most awarded artist in AMAs' history as she bagged 29 wins throughout her entire career, breaking Michael Jackson's all-time record.

"The last year of my life just had the most amazing times and also some of the hardest things that I've gone through in my life and a lot of them are things that haven't been public and I want to thank you all so much for being the thing that has been a constant in my life," Taylor stated in her Artist of the Year acceptance speech.
