This was Julia Barretto’s answer when asked about how she is currently doing following all the controversies that her family has encountered in the past couple of weeks.
The 22-year-old Kapamilya celebrity, who believes that the kind of bond her family has is stronger than all her personal problems, seems unfazed through it all.
“Masaya kami eh - kami ni Mommy, kami magkakapatid. Masaya kami eh. Strong ang bond namin,” she said in an interview at the ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID 2019 shoot.
Keeping a positive outlook in life, she added: “I think in general kahit anong pagdaanan ng mga tao, ng mga pamilya, ng mga magkakaibigan, ng magkarelasyon, in general kahit anong pagdaanan, feeling ko nakakapagpatibay talaga ng loob, nakakapapagpatibay ng relationship, ng love, ng connection, ‘di ba,” she said.
Asked about the best advice she got from her mom, Julia said in jest: “Maraming payo si Mommy. Pero siguro ang favorite ko na payo niya is ‘don’t be late for work. Always be on time’.”
But going for a more serious answer, Julia noted: “No. I think it’s ‘always be the better person’ - ‘always be the better and kinder person, the bigger person, always. And always leave it up to the Lord’.”
It can be recalled that the feud between sisters Marjorie, Claudine and Gretchen reignited following the death of the Barretto patriarch Miguel Alvir Barretto.
