Maricel Soriano looks forward to attending Angel Locsin’s wedding: ‘I will be there for Angel’

When Angel Locsin announced her engagement to Neil Arce last June, many were happy for the actress including her <a href='https://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/thegeneralsdaughter/main'>The General’s Daughter</a> co-star Maricel Soriano. The Diamond Star admitted she would be happy to be part of the nuptials. “Oo naman. Mahal ko si Angel ‘no. Kahit ano ako, kahit sponsor, guest, whatever. I will be there for Angel. I want Angel and Neil to be happy. They’re good friends of mine and I see them naman very sweet. I just want them to be happy especially Angel. She deserves to be happy,” she shared during The Heiress The Big Reveal presscon held last November 14 in Quezon City.The veteran actress said she has already shared some words of wisdom with the bride-to-be. “Sinabi ko na sa kanya, ‘Sweetheart, there’s nothing like being happy all the time. It’s so hard to maintain happiness, yung nandiyan lagi yung happiness. Actually, andiyan lang talaga and you just have to, kumbaga sa mga trees hawiin mo lang andiyan lang siya. Ganyan lang yan,’” she said.Maricel said that after being part of <a href='https://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/thegeneralsdaughter/main'>The General’s Daughter</a>earlier this year, she has been busy preparing herself for another exciting project after shooting the Regal Films horror The Heiress which opens later this month. “Yeah I lost a little weight. Kulang pa. No carbs and nag-e-exercise na ako, nag-ji-gym na ako ngayon. Nag-e-effort ako kasi may edad na ako. Kailangan ko mag-effort. Nakakatuwa ano? At my age nag-ji-gym ako. Ibang klase naman yung diet ko. May konting rice pero I take yung shake nila, parang isang meal na yung isang glass. Naka-adjust naman ako. Kailangan,” she said.The veteran actress is gearing up for another teleserye next year and her good friend Eric Quizon is helping motivate her to get into shape. “Meron kasing limit na binibigay sa akin ang kapatid kong si Eric Quizon. ‘Kailangan 10 pounds kulang pa yan!’ sabi niya. Strikto yung kapatid ko eh. Wala tayong magagawa (laughs). May ganun si Eric sa akin. Takot ako dun eh. Meron naman naka-lineup na pero bawal sabihin. Basta maganda. Bawal pa daw sabihin. Hindi talaga puwede sabihin,” she added.
