Melissa Ricks could not stop herself from responding to a netizen who made unsolicited remarks on her weight and being a single mom to daughter Kiera.
On Instagram, the Star Circle Quest graduate defended herself from the basher who commented that she doesn't look her age because of her weight gain.
The user said, "[Ano nangyari] sayo? Ang taba mo na. Ang laki ng braso mo girl, mukha ka ng tita. Ilan na ba anak mo at ganyan na ['yung] katawan mo?"
"Hi! If mukha akong tita, is that a problem?" replied Melissa.
"Isa, how about you? Ilan anak mo, hopefully wala pa, dahil [you] have no respect and no manners... because [you] are a bad example. I'm just thankful I don't have your attitude."
As fans came to the defense of Melissa, the same commenter called them "plastik" and added: "['Yung] iba nga kahit isa lang ['yung] anak nila, ['di] nila pinapabayaan sarili nila."
Responding to this on her Instagram Stories, Melissa said, "Pinabayaan ang sarili? Can someone explain to me why this is the way of thinking when someone gains weight?"
In a separate comment, the actress wrote, "Mom shaming is not OK. Kesa ganyan ang attitude mo towards other women, sana mas nagiging positive and encouraging ka towards others."
In September, the same basher left an unsolicited comment on a photo of Melissa with a man who was believed to be her boyfriend in Singapore.
Four-year-old Kiera is Melissa's child with ex-boyfriend Charles Togezaki.
