Angelica Panganiban on Tuesday took to social media to share why she was approached by a police officer while vacationing in Rome, Italy.

On Instagram, the 32-year-old actress posted a photo of her sitting on the Spanish Steps, a popular tourist site in Rome.

"For almost 28 years, I have been in front of the audience.

It was only this August when city authorities imposed a ban for sitting on the monumental 135 steps of the Spanish Steps Palazzo Di Bolgna, which was made famous by the 1953 romantic comedy "Romantic Holiday" starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.

Penalties can range from 250 Euro (P14,000) to 400 Euro (P22,000) if they've spoiled or damaged the steps in any way, according to CNN.
