After news came out last month that Jimuel Pacquiao had been offered a lead role in a Hollywood action film, Manny Pacquiao said he will support his eldest son’s endeavors, whether it be in acting or in following in his footsteps in boxing. Tapusin niya yung pag-aaral niya,” he said during the Anta Philippines press launch.
Manny admitted he also gives his son advice when it comes to dating and getting into relationships. Earlier this year, Jimuel had reportedly been dating former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Heaven Peralejo until August this year. “Nag-a-advise lang ako on the right way. Tapos as a father, kailangan ko gampanan yung pagiging tatay ko, advise-an ko yung anak ko para mailagay sa tamang landas,” he said.
Manny also gave an update about his mother Dionisia who is also in the public eye. God is good,” he added.
For those eagerly awaiting his next appearance in the ring, Manny said there are fights planned next year. “Wala pa. Next year pa kasi next year pa yung window ko. Mahaba yung bakasyon. Si Errol Spence sana pero nadisgrasya man siya so papagaling pa yun,” he shared.
Even after entering politics, Manny said his heart will always be with sports and the welfare of our national athletes just like him.
