Julia Barretto has spoken for the first time on the alleged confrontation, which reportedly happened during the wake of her grandfather.
Amid the ongoing feud within the Barretto clan, Julia Barretto broke her silence on the issue, which has taken the internet by storm over the past couple of weeks.
“Well, I think it’s natural for everybody to be concerned. But I think it’s also nice if everybody would give the family the privacy and the respect to resolve their issues,” she said during the sidelines of her upcoming iWant original series with Tony Labrusca.
The 22-year-old Kapamilya star also refused to give any comment on the issue involving her mom, her aunts, and the rest of the Barretto clan.
“Pero wala po kasi akong kinalaman diyan eh. Hindi ko po masasagot ‘yung mga tanong tungkol sa kanila kasi nga po, it’s not my battle. Hindi ko po siya laban,” she said.
As much as she would like to air her side, she noted that only those involved could answer all the questions about the ongoing war between them.
“‘Yung magkakapatid po lang ’yung makakasagot niyan. I cannot speak for them. Hindi ko po laban eh. Hindi ko laban. I don’t have the right to speak for any of them,” she said.
Meanwhile, Julia dismissed the allegations made against her on the alleged scuffling issue, which reportedly happened during the wake of his grandfather.
“Wala pong katotohanan,” she stated.
Despite all the problems that her family is currently facing, Julia remains positive in life.
“I’ll be praying for them. Pero for now, my energy, my time, I would like to spend it on the blessings that I have been receiving. God has been so good,” she said.
She went on: “Protect your energy and protect your time. And i-spend natin ‘yan sa mga bagay na mabuti. Let’s be kind to each other.”
With a lot of people showing concern for her and the rest of her family, Julia could only offer prayers for them.
“We’re all praying for the best. We’re praying all the best for everyone,” she said.
She added: “Ang biggest prayer lang is blanket of protection lang.”
She ended the interview by saying: “The Lord knows the truth.”
Meanwhile, I Am U, an eight-part iWant original series co-produced by Dreamscape Digital and IdeaFirst Company, will start rolling in November.
