Indie actress Barbara Ruaro once again came forward to share that Marcus Adoro’s camp wants her to take down her previous posts after exposing what the latter allegedly did to her
According to Ruaro, Adoro’s camp blames her for losing his livelihood after she exposed him last month.
Sharing screenshots of her conversation with one of the persons from Adoro’s side, she wrote: “Today, I am being asked yet again by Marcus and his camp to remove my posts regarding what transpired last September. This is not the first time I am being convinced that the abuse was my fault, that I should be held accountable for the loss of my abuser's livelihood, and that I should remove my posts as proof of forgiveness.”
She went on: “Forgiving and forgetting should not go hand in hand. Unfortunately, there is no handbook to healing. I am still picking myself up every day, I do what I can to survive the trauma, and that is my personal battle.
“Please, STOP victim blaming. Stop protecting the perpetrators. Stop invalidating our pain. Stop manipulating us into believing we deserved the abuse and that we must continue to suffer beyond it. I will not be silenced; not this time. We will not back down,” she added.
In a separate post, Ruaro highlighted that while she’s no longer in contact with Adoro, the fight continues.
“Yes, Marcus Adoro abused us - in more ways than one. No, we are no longer together and in contact with each other. Certainly, he is still not in jail. Whoop dee doo. And the fight is not over. From me and my camp, thank you for the continuous love and support. Prayers! We are doing our best,” she wrote.
A week after Ruaro shared her story last September, Marcus Adoro’s daughter, Syd Hartha, also opened up about her experience in the hands of her own father.
Syd Hartha is Marcus Adoro’s daughter from a previous relationship.
Marcus Adoro is the guitarist of legendary OPM band Eraserheads.
