Young artist Jayda Avanzado couldn’t help but share her happiness at taking home her first award in showbiz from the 32nd Awit Awards where she took home the award for Best Performance by a New Female Performing Artist. Apart from her parents Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza, the 16-year-old singer also took time to thank everyone who helped her launch her showbiz career as well as her fans.

She wrote:

“So surreal!! I’m over the moon to receive my very first award, which happens to be an Awit Award!
I’d like to thank the panel of judges and PARI for this amazing recognition. It’s an honor to be recognized for ‘Happy for You,’ a song that I wrote and produced when I was 13.

To my fans, my Jayda Nation, Darjays, and to everyone who’s supported me! Maraming maraming salamat sa Inyong lahat! Thank you for standing with me through this incredible journey, this is only the beginning. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. You guys are one of the reasons why I do this.

To my parents, thank you for your unwavering support for me and my dreams. Mom, dad, I love you guys so much. I thank God that I have you two.

Special mention, Dad, thank you for co-writing this song with me. I won’t forget how we sat at the keyboard in my room, that night, creating this song.

And of course, To God, This wouldn’t be possible without Him. I lift this award up to Him 🏻 🏻 To God be the glory!! #AwitAwards2019 #32ndAwitAwards”
