Catriona Gray continues to showcase Philippine culture through her wardrobe even after flying to New York to start her duties as Miss Universe. Yesterday, January 5, the beauty queen shared a photo of herself in the Big Apple where she wore a denim skirt made by Tagakaolo tribe from Mindanao.

“Dropped by the @missuniverse headquarters today super jetlagged but giant cups of tea and coffee are getting me through! In a denim skirt hand-embellished with mother of pearl by the Tagakaolo tribe,” she wrote

Catriona arrived in New York last Thursday, January 3.
