Comedian Epy Quizon, who is set to play the role of a Chinese conman in the upcoming film Boy Tokwa: Lodi Ng Gapo based on the life story of Rodrigo Morelos, shared his overall experience working with his co-actors and director Tony Reyes.
“Actually, it was fun. Every film of Direk Tony Reyes is actually a fun set. So isa ‘yun sa kung bakit tinanggap ko ‘tong project na ‘to kasi alam kong masaya ang shooting. And I’m proud because you know, there’s an amazing lead. It was good. Amazingly, you’ll see a different Jose Manalo in this film. Like what I said, I saw it right now, saludo ako sa ginawa ni Jose sa pelikulang ito,” he said in an exclusive interview with PUSH.
Apart from the film which stars Jose Manalo, Epy Quizon revealed that he is currently working on another movie titled The Art of Ligaw with Kapamilya singer KZ Tandingan.
“I’m filming a movie right now with KZ Tandingan. It’s called The Art of Ligaw. It’s going to be out hopefully this year. Well, it speaks for itself The Art of Ligaw so it’s about courtship. The two meanings of the word ligaw: one which means courtship and one meaning getting lost to find yourself,” the 45-year-old actor said.
Asked how it was like working with KZ Tandingan on the film, he stated: “You’ll be amazed. I think KZ will show you a full circle in this film.”
Boy Tokwa, which opens on January 8, is the first feature film offering of the Vicente “Tito” Sotto-owned company VST Productions.
