Bea Alonzo has a television series and a new business venture in the works for 2019.
Seasoned actress Bea Alonzo is still a proud Kapamilya after just having renewed her contract with ABS-CBN alongside her fellow artists from Star Magic and from Viva.
Simultaneous with her contract signing were talks of her much-anticipated comeback television series with leading men Ian Veneracion and, for the first time ever, Richard Gutierrez.
“Excited ako kasi during the time na gumagawa siya ng mga soap opera sa [kabilang network], katapat nun ‘yung mga soap operas naming ni John Lloyd (Cruz) sa channel two,” said Bea on her experience working with Richard. “So, parang gusto kong makita kung paano ‘yung effect ngayong kaming dalawa naman ang magko-collaborate.”
In December last year, her film Eerie with Charo Santos and Jake Cuenca had its world premiere as one of the official entries to the prestigious Singapore International Film Festival. It is set to debut in the Philippines in March, confirmed Bea, simultaneous with its launch in eight different countries in South East Asia.
On her first time to do horror, the 31-year-old star didn’t have to adjust much as she’s fixated on the character study rather than a project’s genre.
“Ako kasi kapag tumatanggap ako ng proyekto, mas nagko-concentrate ako doon sa character study, at doon sa lahat ng elemento bukod dun sa character. So, hindi ko masasabi kung paano ako naga-adjust. [I guess] with the help of the director and ako, nakakapagplano [rin] on how I would attack the character,” she said.
Outside of work, Bea is also slated to launch a new business venture, although she refused to disclose any more details.
“I have a new business na ia-announce ko sana mid this year and I’m so excited for it. Baka mag-post ako ng mga snippets tungkol do’n,” she said.
Meanwhile, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, has Bea made any plans with beau Gerald Anderson yet?
“Nako, hindi ko alam. Hindi ko pa napa-plano ‘yan.
“[Pero] tumatanggap din po tayo ng gifts,” she answered in jest.
