Multi-awarded Grammy winner James Ingram passed away last January 29, Tuesday. According to American entertainment site TMZ, the singer-songwriter succumbed to brain cancer at the age of 66 after battling it for a long period of time.
One of James's closest colleagues Debbie Allen also confirmed the news by tweeting:
"I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir. He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name."
James was well loved by Filipinos for his most popular ballads like "There's No Easy Way," "100 Ways," How Do You Keep the Music Playing," and his duet with Patti Austin "Baby Come to Me."
