With the playdate of his new movie Bato: The Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa Story drawing closer, Robin Padilla said this is not just a comeback for him but a comeback for the action film genre in the industry as well. Kakaiba itong pelikula na ito with a very good story. Medyo nabitin ang halikan pero okay lang (laughs),” he said.

During the movie presscon last January 24, Robin said he also wanted to totally shave his head to look more like the general but work commitments kept him from pushing through with it. Wala akong magagawa,” he explained.

As one of showbiz’s most outspoken personalities, Robin is always asked whether or not he will run for a government position. But the action star stays firm in his decision that he will never run for any position. “Isa lang ang pulitiko sa pamilya. Si Rommel na yun. Si Rommel ay tatakbong congressman. Eh against tayo sa dynasty. Practice what you preach. Wala akong pasensiya. Kailangan diyan mapagpasensiyang tao. Gusto mo bang may binubugbog ako sa senate? Naku huwag (laughs). Tama na po yung isa sa pamilya. Talagang against ako sa political dynasty,” he said.
