Zandrea Bailey, a finalist in the 2014 Miss Universe Jamaica, passed away last Sunday, January 13, following a long battle with lupus.
The 29-year-old died peacefully in a hospital in New York, said Jamaican news site The Gleaner.
According to the report, the beauty queen had also lost her mother to lupus in the same year she finished as a finalist in the pageant.
Meanwhile, fellow Jamaican beauty Kaci Fennell, who bested Zandrea as winner in 2014, took to Instagram last Tuesday, January 15, to offer her condolences.
