Will the 30th SEA Games include a performance from half-Filipino artist Bruno Mars?
The local organizers of the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games are reportedly already in talks with Bruno Mars' management for a “phenomenal” performance from him once the huge sports event opens in November according to a report by the Inquirer.
Inquirer also stated another source revealed that the Sen. Alan Peter Cateyano-led Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) is willing to spend “lavishly” just to bring Grammy-winning artist Bruno Mars to the country.
Set to host the SEA Games for the fourth time since 1981, the country will hold the 2019 SEA Games opening ceremonies at the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena on November 30.
The 33-year-old singer, who is born to a Puerto Rican father and a Filipina mother, is not new to opening televised sports events as he has already performed at the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show back in 2014.
Bruno Mars last came to Manila in 2018 where he performed a two-night sold-out concert held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
