After tying the knot in Tagaytay last January 14 with her longtime boyfriend Jason Marvin Hernandez, singer Moira Dela Torre made the occasion even more memorable by singing to him a song she composed during the ceremony. In a video uploaded by her management Cornerstone Entertainment Inc., the talented singer performed the beautiful composition to the groom who couldn’t hold back from being teary-eyed by the third stanza.
Moira’s song, which ran for almost five minutes, included lyrics that read like wedding vows. More than halfway through the song, the 25-year-old singer also held back from sobbing, obviously touched by the meaningful lyrics which partly read as follows:
So I thank you for all of your patience
For loving me even when I explode
Taking all of the pain, with nothing else to gain
Just knowing I don’t feel alone
All I promise that I’ll always choose you
I will trust you wherever you lead
And when there are days that you’ll feel afraid
I promise I won’t walk away
‘Cause all I want, my future is here
It’s better than all of my dreams
For storms to come, there’s nothing I can do
For He keeps His promise, and the promise is you.
…So I start here today with a promise
that today we’ll run towards love
That on all other days, whether it shines or it rains
Together we’ll lift up our praise
