Ogie Diaz encourages for a change in marketing strategy of MMFF

The comedian said that while Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) was a miss this year, this could well be improved simply through the marketing strategies of the Metro Manila Development Authority, which oversees the festival.

Despite what the numbers show, Ogie Diaz isn’t convinced that the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is doing well, at least when compared to its performances for the past few years or so.

In a Facebook post last Sunday, the actor and showbiz reporter cited a few plausible reasons why this is so—an increase in the prices of tickets, the birth of online movie platforms, and the continuous release of subpar films, to name a few.

But he isn’t just here to criticize. The Home Sweetie Home star was also kind enough to offer a resolution for this dilemma, and it is through making a shift in the marketing strategy of the Metro Manila Development Authority, the committee that oversees the MMFF.

In this way, everyone could win, according to Ogie.

While MMDA has yet to give their answer, many netizens found Ogie’s proposal to be surprisingly sensible.
