Devon Seron on working on her first musical: ‘Feeling ko bumalik yung mga gusto kong gawin’

Eight years after joining showbiz via Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of 2010, Devon Seron has come a long way from being the teen housemate known as the “Bubbly Promdi from Cebu.” After the reality show season ended, Devon said she had a lot of learning experiences just waiting for a good break. So dumaan din ako dun. Ilang years na din, eight years na rin ako sa showbiz. And for me masarap yung experience na yun kasi yun yung bumuo sa akin kung ano ako meron ngayon. And yung growth talaga importante as an artist and as a person,” she shared.

Now, Devon plays one of the leads in the upcoming T-Rex Entertainment project Bakwit Boys which she feels blessed to be part of. “Yung parents ko naman they’re very supportive. So ganun talaga siya. Ang sa akin lang kung ano yung matututunan ko sa movie, ano yung matututunan ko with my co-actors, gusto ko dalhin talaga. And hopefully I’m praying na madami pang darating sa akin,” she said.

Aside from getting to work again with director Jason Paul Laxamana, Devon said she was also happy to be part of a musical.

The 25-year-old actress said she is excited for her fans to catch the film which is an official entry to this year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino which officially opens on August 15. Nakakaiyak, kaya eager ako gawin ang film,” she said.

Bakwit Boys also stars Nikko Natividad, Ryle Santiago, Mackie Empuerto, Vance Larena. Directed by Jason Paul Laxamana under T-Rex Entertainment.
