The Exes Baggage star admits he almost left the industry at one point in his life.
Although he had never really been totally out of the limelight, Carlo Aquino admits he never expected a big resurgence in his acting career after playing the role of Jessie in Meet Me in St. Gallen earlier this year.
The 32-year-old actor revealed there was a time in his life when he did consider walking away from showbiz for good.
So yun yung ginawa ko. At saka nung bumalik kasi ako sa ABS-CBN nung 2012 nag-dire-diretso na rin ako,” he said.
Apart from his upcoming movie Exes Baggage, there is an even greater interest in Carlo’s personal life since he admitted to being single again and has been spending more and more time with ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban who is also his latest leading lady and has earned them the nickname “#CarGel.”
During the recent ABS-CBN trade launch event, Carlo admitted he is still getting used to all the renewed interest in him.
Because of his boyish good looks, we couldn’t help but ask when his secret to eternal youth really is and he gamely replied, “Hindi ko alam (laughs). Happy lang? Happy. Lagi lang ako masaya.”
