Enrique Gil admits he was originally part of 'Darna' movie

Enrique Gil admitted that he was initially part of the original cast of "Darna." In an interview with ABS-CBN News at the finale press conference of “Bagani,” the actor revealed that he was pulled out from the movie.“Dapat kasama talaga ako doon sa ‘Darna.' Nag-meeting na kami, nag-story con. Dapat kasama talaga ako. Maganda ’yung character, interesting. A couple of weeks after, they called me back. Sabi nila, ‘Huwag na. Huwag na natin ituloy. Ika-cancel’,” he stated. According to Enrique, he is being offered another movie project. “They’re offering another project na mas maganda naman talaga. Basta, abangan niyo na lang.”When asked if “Captain Barbell” was offered to him, the actor's only reply was, “Hindi ko pa po alam.""Darna" stars Enrique's love team partner Liza Soberano and is produced by ABS-CBN's Star Cinema and Erik Mati's Reality Entertainment.
