Melai Cantiveros relives her PBB journey

On <a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/tonightwithboyabunda/main'>Tonight with Boy Abunda</a>, Melai Cantiveros revealed that she never thought she would be accepted for the reality show Pinoy Big Brother, let alone become the Big Winner. “Wala sa isipan ko Tito Boy na matanggap ako dun sa audition, ang number ko e 24,249,” said Melai, pointing out how many hopefuls were present at the time.From that fateful day some 10 years ago, Melai has seen a lot of successes and a lot of controversies, but as the ‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda pointed out, she is “one of the most beloved showbiz persons today.”Indeed it has been a great ride for Melai, and she’ll have plenty of time to remember her first audition as she takes part in a new talent search, Star Hunt, working with Direk Laurenti Dyogi who also interviewed her all those years ago.Melai shared that, “Hindi ko talaga na-expect na isa ako sa mga pumipila dyan, tapos ngayon isa na ako sa mga tumitingin, tapos binigyan kami ng chance din ni Direk Lauren na magbigay ng star (approval) sa mga nag au-audition.” She added that, “nakita ko ang sarili ko sa kanila noon kaya sabi ko sa kanila, ipagpatuloy n’yo ang pangarap n’yo at may kapupuntahan talaga yan.”
