It was supposed to be nothing but a purely happy moment for Marlo Mortel who revealed that he is set to release an album under Star Music for which he has drawn inspiration from his personal experiences in life.
Marlo couldn't help but feel a bit emotional as he bravely opened up about the current state of his mother's battle with cancer just a day after sharing via Twitter that his mom has to go through "more upcoming procedures."
Without revealing much due to his mother's request, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter said he remains positive despite admitting that he and his family are going through a much worse situation than they ever did before.
Ibig sabihin medyo malala na iyong nangyayari," he said during his contract signing with Star Music.
Iba't ibang operations na iyong ginagawa sa kanila so medyo basta," he added.
Marlo also explained how he deals with the pain and sadness seeing his mom fight for her life.
Marlo, who dubbed his musical genre as "Pinoy Country," is set to drop an "album-serye" where he will release the songs simultaneously with the music videos in the coming months.
