Taking things slow with Joao Constancia, Sue Ramirez says she doesn’t want to become a victim of a failed relationship.
Sue Ramirez finally addressed the issues that involved her for the past couple of months, specifically the social media bashing, during the media conference for her latest film Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi with Markus Paterson and Jameson Blake.
A lot people judge you for who they see you, kung paano ka lang nila gusto i-judge. Of course, I’m affected in a way not because of what they say. I’m affected of how the world has become—kung bakit ganun na kababaw ang naging basis on judging someone. So I just hope for the better talaga. I hope people will stop misusing social media. It’s something to connect people. And what’s happening now, ‘yun nga mas nadidisconnect na kasi ang daming nega online,” she said.
Reiterating that she has nothing against lesbians, Sue said that she felt concerned not because of the words people have thrown against her but because of how shallow people judge a person's sexual preference on the basis of one's external appearance.
“Hindi po. Wala naman pong masama sa pagiging lesbian, and I’m all for that. So more than what I feel for myself, it’s how I feel for them na bakit ganun na sila mag-isip.”
The 22-year-old Kapamilya star also explained why she and her rumored beau Joao Constancia aren’t rushing things between them.
“We cannot rush ourselves into things na dahil gusto lang natin, gagawin na natin agad. Masyadong bara-bara ‘yung mga desisyon na ganun. Take the time to know the person, ‘yun nga gawing foundation ang friendship and gawing foundation ‘yung trust and respect before going into a [relationship],” she stated.
Sue, who has recently set her fans abuzz after tweeting about “fake love”, said she feels the need to be cautious when it comes to making a decision in her love life as she doesn’t want to become yet another victim of a relationship that will end up nowhere.
Na kailangan nila i-invest ‘yung time nila more on ‘yung experiences na gawa niyo together, the conversations that you’ve had, kung gaano ba kalalim ‘tong tao na ‘to, ano. So marami talagang basehan so hindi talaga pwedeng agad-agad,” she explained.
