Kris Bernal shares what she learned from her latest film project.
With her starring role in the upcoming Bell Films production Kontradiksyon, Kris Bernal said that even though she plays a woman who does drugs onscreen she actually has no vices in real life. “Wala, siguro I drink lang wine (laughs). Sobrang hirap na hirap nga ako. Yung pag-assemble ng shabu, oh my gosh. Real instruments talaga ginamit namin dun. Like what people really use. I had to watch videos of people using it because I don’t have any experience with that. So kailangan makakuha ako sa mga documentaries and movies. Sobrang hirap and siyempre you want to show it as natural as possible na as if hindi ka nangangapa, na parang naging routine mo na. Sobrang hirap,” she shared.
With her small frame, Kris said she keeps in shape by working out regularly so that people should stop speculating if she has any eating disorders. “Yes they would ask if I was anorexic or bulimic and then every time I post about food parang sinusuka ko lang daw,” she said.
The 29-year-old actress said she got inspired from other people who did not let themselves be affected by false accusations. “Nung una talaga sobrang affected ako. But then when I see people that don’t care about what other people say. Iniisip ko, ‘Bakit ako hindi ko kaya? Masyado akong nagpapa-apekto.’ Bakit yung mga tao with the same problem as mine hindi? So dun ako nakakakuha ng inspiration na they don’t get affected so bakit ko ipapamukha na affected ako? Paano yung mga katulad ko rin na hindi tabain, na maliit din?” she added.
The Kontradiksyon actress said she has always been petite her entire life. “Hindi talaga ako tabain, hindi talaga. As in talaga pag nakasama mo ako talagang nagugulat yung mga tao na ang lakas ko kumain but I really don’t get fat. I work out but it’s more on building mass, it’s more on lifting weights kasi ang program ko is to gain weight. So that’s my goal. Kasi I’m very small boned so yun ang kailangan. I need to gain mass,” she explained.
