Carol Banawa: 'My skin has always been sensitive. You would always see red marks on my skin if I get a simple scratch.'
Carol Banawa revealed on Instagram that she has tested positive for a skin condition. In an Instagram post, the former Kapamilya singer disclosed that her doctor found out that she has a condition called “Dermatographism.”
"So my skin has always been sensitive. You would always see red marks on my skin if I get a simple scratch, or the spot where the strap of my purse has been rubbing against would also be red. Sometimes I would have red marks on my skin and I don't even have a clue where and how I got it. My doc scratched my forearm and this showed up in less than 10 mins. Turns out I have what is called, “Dermatographism"," Carol relayed.
According to www.webmd.com, "Dermatographism" is a common form of physical urticaria where hives form after firmly stroking or scratching the skin. These hives can also occur along with other forms of urticaria.
Carol shared that it does not need to be cured. "Nothing needed to cure it, just something that makes me different from other people. Cool huh? You can actually write on me lol," she wrote.
