Anthony Bourdain passes away at 61

CNN confirmed that their colleague Anthony Bourdain has passed away today, June 8. Anthony, who is a chef, was the host of the award-winning CNN show “Parts Unknown.

In a report by the network, it was an apparent suicide. He was found “unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning” by his close friend chef Eric Ripert. They were shooting in France for his show, which premiered its 11th season last month.

Anthony visited the Philippines in 2016 and came back in 2017. 

He praised the Filipino pork sisig saying in his CNN interview, “exactly what you need after a few beers.”
