Jessy Mendiola took to Instagram to express her joy and new reflection in life when she got to “live aboard” Tubbataha.
“So glad I was able to go to this magical place, it made me appreciate nature more. God is truly amazing! Kudos to the Tubbataha Park Rangers for taking care of one of the treasures of the WORLD. Some of you may not know, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is a protected area of the Philippines located in the middle of the Sulu Sea and 10-11 hours away from Puerto Princesa, Palawan,” she wrote in her post.
At one point, she also got to see a whale shark underwater with her boyfriend Luis Manzano.
“There was one dive in Delsan Wreck that @luckymanzano and I decided to rest out. When our group came back, they told us that they saw a whale shark. I was so sad and looked at Lu asking him silently, ‘Why did we decide to sit that one out again?’ And, as if he read my mind, he said ‘Don’t worry, tomorrow we’ll see one. I promise.’ Come tomorrow, we moved to a different site called Black Rock, 20 minutes into our dive this huge beautiful whale shark was gliding towards us! I got super excited, my world kind of slowed down, I looked into its eyes and kept wishing it would come closer and it did! It was my first time to see one. I got kinda teary-eyed and just kept thanking God for making this moment happen. It’s one of those moments that you can’t ever replace, the quiet peaceful moment with one of God’s marvelous creatures. You were right my love, it showed up just like you said,” she captioned one of the video clips.
