The Araw Gabi actress admits how she and her daughter were affected by the on going legal battle with her ex.
After filing kidnapping charges against the father of her daughter Cedric Lee in 2016, Vina Morales revealed she is relieved with the recent outcome from the case this month. The Mandaluyong City's Regional Trial Court found Cedric guilty beyond reasonable doubt and ordered him to pay a fine of as well as moral and nominal damages.
“Parang medyo sensitive ata yung issue na yan. Mahirap kasi magsalita kasi madami pang on going na mga kaso. But I’m just happy na yung lumabas is in our favor. I’m thankful to God because I’ve been praying for that and hopefully matapos na. Nakakapagod. I am looking forward na sana matapos na yung mga ganitong issue. But I’m happy and thankful sa mga taong sumuporta sa akin lalo na pamilya ko at sa lawyer namin,” she shared during the opening of Beautizone in Taguig City last June 28.
The actress admitted it took a lot of strength for her to deal with the legal battles against her ex, including two libel cases Cedric filed against her which were eventually dismissed in 2017.
“Siguro dahil bata pa lang ako nagtatrabaho na ako eh since nine years old so I’m very independent. Pinaghirapan ko lahat kung saan man ako nakarating ngayon. At siyempre lahat yun ang inspirasyon ko ay ang pamilya ko at suporta nila. Inspirasyon ko yung mga naging bahagi ng buhay ko, mga kaibigan ko, my very close friends, yung mga tumulong sa akin and yung mga sumuporta sa akin at naniwala sa akin all these years. They’re the reasons kung bakit ako ganito katibay,” she explained.
Vina was happy to share that thankfully her nine-year-old daughter Ceana has not been affected by the cases.
“She’s very okay now. She’s back to school and I am happy na medyo okay na yung feeling niya. But of course she’s still a baby. Bata pa naman yung anak ko. Hindi pa niya masyado maintindihan or medyo ina-underestimate ko yung age ng mga bata ngayon but she’s very bright. Siguro nakikita na rin naman niya kung ano yung mga nangyayari,” she said.
Despite what is happening, Vina said filing the kidnapping case has not made her a stricter or more paranoid mom at home.
“Ay no, I am not strict with my daughter. I want to make sure na nasa tama lang. I try to give her the best. Mahirap nga lang maging perfect. Hindi naman ako perfect pero tina-try ko na maibigay lahat ng mga kailangan niya. For now naman hindi pa naman ganun kabigat yung mga kailangan kong ibigay sa anak ko kundi oras, pagmamahal, at quality time siyempre.” she added.
