Pia Wurtzbach and Marlon Stockinger share secret to their happy relationship

After dating for a year and a half, celebrity couple Pia Wurtzbach and Marlon Stockinger said they are happy to find themselves finally sharing an endorsement as the newest ambassadors of Blue Water Day Spa. Marlon revealed the secret behind their happy partnership. “It’s our first endorsement together so it’s really amazing. For the two of us to do an endorsement together it’s a nice thing to be be able to do your job and be in a relationship so it’s mixing the two together and I think it’s really nice. I think after a year and a half it’s a long time but it’s also still really young so Pia and I everyday we get to learn with each other. Doing this together is also something new so I think keeping it fresh, keeping it balanced, and smiling and enjoying along the way is the most important thing to have a consistently happy relationship,” he shared during the Blue Water Day Spa presscon held last June 18 in Ortigas.

Pia said it helps that they still keep most of their personal life away from the limelight. “I think it’s knowing what to share with other people and what to keep in private. Also it really helps actually with my situation na when we started dating it was right before I passed on the crown. So he was there when I was Miss Universe until now. I’m really grateful that he’s so understanding and he’s so patient. Minsan nga naiisip ko siguro kung iba yan, alam mo yun it’s hard, it’s really tough but he’s been able to go through all of that with me so smoothly so I’m really grateful,” she explained.

The newest Blue Water Day Spa ambassador admitted she is lucky to have found a good man. “We laugh a lot. We have so much fun. Palagi kaming tumatawa, palagi kaming nagbibiruan. We don’t show everything on social media because we just feel like it doesn’t have to be parang in front of the camera naman all the time. So I really appreciate those moments especially when it’s with family and friends,” she shared.

Marlon detailed what makes him the happiest in his life right now. “I think it’s knowing that I can end and start the day with her and those are the nicest moments to have with the person you share a lot of moments with and it’s just been the same everyday since we met each other. It’s a year and a half. It might seem long for some but it still feels fresh and nice and I’m just happy we’re at this point that we can also work together and do this amazing thing with Blue Water Day Spa. I’m so happy that they’ve accepted me into their family as well. It’s a big part of my lifestyle and my fitness regimen to keep healthy, look after my wellness and to do that together as a couple is really nice and it’s just fantastic,” he explained.

When it comes to arguments, the two agree that it is usually Pia who reaches out first. “I just say sorry (laughs). Marlon’s very nice. When he’s tampo hindi naman siya mahirap lapitan. Sobrang bait ni Marlon,” she said. But when it comes to Marlon’s turn to win his girlfriend over, he shared his usual strategy, “Wala lang, with food or some flowers. Just any way to reach a girl’s heart. You can be sweet kahit smallest of gestures. It doesn’t have to be a bouquet. Maybe if you give her a nice rose or something, chocolates, yun then it’s easier to say sorry (laughs).”

As one of the sweetest couples on social media, Pia does not seem surprised when asked if they have already been talking marriage. She admitted it is not happening anytime soon. “Well not in the near future no. We’re not there yet. I still feel like we want to achieve a lot individually. Wala pa yun. Marami pa kaming plano individually. Marami pa kaming gustong ma-achieve. Ako sa career ko and siya sa dun sa racing career niya,” she said.
