James Reid responded to a netizen’s comment on Instagram, accusing that his friends and family are using him for his fame.
James recently posted a sample of his new single “16B” on Instagram, produced by him and his friend Mat Olavides with a cover art by another friend Henzon Lee.
A netizen wrote a comment on the post, taking a swipe at James’ social circle and insinuating that they had their big breaks because of James. The netizen also included James’ siblings, Lauren and Tom, giving the impression that he is also the one giving them careers. The netizen even went as far as body-shaming Lauren.
James, who only had kind words in response to the netizen, said that she is looking at it the wrong way and that he is lucky to have such talented friends. He also asked the netizen to stop the hate and complaining and contribute instead.
“Can you say you’ve helped your loved ones in a way that allows them to express themselves creatively and made something beautiful together? If you don’t like what you hear or see, then do better,” he wrote.
