Thou Reyes talks about what he loves about his newest roles.
With a busy schedule that includes being part of two top-rated Kapamilya shows, Thou Reyes said he has no complaints about joining Bagani after The Blood Sisters. “Nag-e-enjoy talaga ako, kung paano ko nagagawa yung ganun. Minsan kasi dumadating na M-W-F yung taping ng Bagani tapos T-Th-S naman yung The Blood Sisters. Kaya sobrang grateful naman ako na walang boring day, wala talaga. Masarap paglaruan ang mga characters tapos binibigyan ka pa ng Creatives ng freedom to really put something sa characterization ng role. So dun ako mas nagpapasalamat,” he told PUSH.
Thou is currently seen weekday afternoons and evenings in two very different characters that he loves bringing to life onscreen. “That’s what I really love about it eh. Sa Blood Sisters my role is like my alter ego na masayahin and magaan kami nila Erich (Gonzales), nila Pamu (Pamorada) kasi kami yung lighter part ng story eh. And iba naman dun sa Bagani because magugulo na yung kasama ko. Yung characterization ko dun more of an observer ako. Ako yung parang kanang kamay ni Kapitan which is si Charlie Dizon, kapatid ni Matadora na si Aiko Melendez. So mas alam ko yung nanagyayari sa pirate world kaya mas tahimik siya, mas tahimik, nagmamatiyag siya,” he explained.
Having started showbiz at the age of 10 via the iconic kiddie show Ang TV, Thou said he has a lot to be thankful for in his colorful two decade career that has resulted in him being one of the few actors who can be cast in multiple projects. “Nagkakataon lang na sobrang fortunate, sobrang thankful sa mga bosses natin from Star Creatives and Dreamscape na they’re trusting me with these very interesting characters sa kanilang projects,” he said.
