Jameson Blake also shares the real reason why he accepted a team up with Janella Salvador.
After being part of projects like Haunted Forest and Mama’s Girl, Jameson Blake said he was so happy to finally be offered a lead role along with Janella Salvador in the Regal Films romance So Connected. “Hindi ako nag-hesitate i-accept yung role. Siyempre project yun tapos first lead role ko yun. Masaya na sa movie na ito kaming dalawa ni Janella and I appreciate it. And the story of the project itself brings some uniqueness to the movie so it’s not a typical love story, it’s a different kind of team up so that will make it a bit different,” he shared.
The So Connected actor admitted his role as Carter was easy because he could relate to it on a personal level. “I play a simple guy, sheltered, mahiyain, introvert. Parang ako lang in real life. It’s breaking out of my shell. Kasi as a person mahiyain ako at saka I had to focus more sa script ko kasi parang 80% Tagalog and lead role pa ito so I had to exert a lot of effort. I just had to put extra effort,” he explained.
Jameson also admitted that he had many reasons to be happy about his new leading lady. “She’s got the looks. She’s beautiful. She has the talent, and she has the personality. So I wouldn’t ask for more from a leading lady. Kami ni Janella coming from scratch I didn’t really know her until magka-eksena na kami. We started to become friends and we started to talk more so I appreciate the moments we had sa set namin. It was fun getting to know her,” he said.
Unlike his character in the film who is always glued to his computer, Jameson shared why he enjoys disconnecting from social media. He also wants to influence others to see why it’s not always a good thing to be so connected online. “Basically just be in the moment. Appreciate the real world without gadgets. You have your friends, family. Time is everything di ba? Siyempre kung nasa bahay ka lang. Instead of spending time with family nasa cellphone ka lang. Just keep in mind that there are better things to do than being on social media. Just appreciate how real life is talaga,” he added.
