Jameson Blake says he is not afraid of backlash from ElNella fans: ‘I won’t let it affect me’

Jameson Blake shared how he got along with his So Connected leading lady Janella Salvador. “She’s really nice and approachable. She’s a great actress and we can be good friends din. That would be a good path siguro. I had no problems working with her. She’s very magaan lang. I enjoyed working with her. The whole process ng movie shoot was really fun and I’m happy that I got to know her din. Siguro personality-wise nag-connect kami, tahimik din yun eh. I don’t know, when I started talking to her I started to bring up topics kasi parang I really thought she was easy to talk to,” he shared during the So Connected blogcon held last May 17 in Quezon City.

In Regal Entertainment’s new romantic comedy, Jameson plays a role not far from his true character. “He’s a simple guy, sheltered, mahiyain, he’s an introvert. Parang ako lang in real life. Favorite scene ko siguro nung pumunta kaming Corregidor. It was yung first na out-of-town talaga na shoot namin and there was a tunnel scene, sa bus, riding the bicycle, and it was fun the whole shooting day,” he recalled.

Jameson admitted he is also ready for those who will not accept his pairing with Janella, especially loyal fans of the Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona (ElNella) love team. “Well you know you can’t avoid that there will be some people that will disagree with the team up. I completely understand. They’re just supporting their idols and I’ll just let it be that way, whatever they want to say, that’s their opinion so I won’t let it affect me. I can’t control it eh,” he said.

The Fil-British actor and Hashtag member said he has no plans of breaking up any love teams in case fans were worried about that. “I’m not saying that I’m getting her or whatever, it’s what people view. But people are saying na ang yabang yabang ko daw, it’s like I’m sticking my nose in them but to be honest everyone sees that they are an official love team. They see their success together, how far they’re going together and you can see how close they are and everything. Why do I have to butt in di ba? It’s just for the fans. That’s their own opinion so I’m just going to leave them behind. Even if you do the right thing, they can still say a bad thing about you. So everyone has their own opinion so I’ll leave them behind. Wala I’ll just be quiet na lang,” he added.
