Last May 13, Alexa Ilacad posted her high school graduation photos on Instagram. The 18-year-old actress talked about the difficulties of finishing her senior year while working in showbiz and about the fulfillment she felt after getting her diploma last May 12.

Estudyante sa umaga.... pero pag may taping, absent muna. 🙈🤪 (Sorry for the long graduation post) . During my senior high journey, there were so many nights when I wanted to go crazy and give up. I'd come home drained from taping at 5am then head to class at 9am with my hair still curled, looking like a zombie and ending up frustrated because my brain couldn't absorb anything even though I tried my hardest. 😅 I'd come to school to take 4 exams (which I only reviewed for the night before) all in one day then rush to an event after. Most times I wouldn't even be able to come to class AT ALL due to my schedules which made it feel impossible to submit requirements and pass. 😬 The word "tough" doesn't give justice to the challenges I went through. I would just cry buckets because I was so exhausted and I couldn't handle the stress of cramming. I felt like such a failure and disappointment because I wasn't able to reach the standards I set for myself at the beginning of senior-high. 💔 I started getting so stressed over the smallest tasks because I felt so dumb. Minsan inisip ko "mahirap ba tong ginagawa ko or bobo lang ako?" ☹️ I even remember coming to school feeling so tired I fell asleep in the school gym. 🙈 BUT YESTERDAAAAAAAAY, I proudly graduated senior high-school at Treston International College, completing all my requirements, and passing them all with flying colors. Praise God! He is so good! ♥️💗😭 This is a very proud moment for me because I thought I wouldn't be able to make it. All this wouldn't be possible without the help of my lenient and supportive school, my loving and patient teachers, the whole faculty of Christian Legacy and Treston International College, our school directress, our dean, and most importantly, to my generous classmates aka FAM ♥️ who helped and guided me every step of the way, & to my parents who never pressured me about grades, and to my dog, BLUSH, who is the absolute best stress reliever. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU. 🤗
