Nyoy Volante shares his most unforgettable transformation during his time as a contestant on ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’.
After winning first runner-up in the first season of Your Face Sounds Familiar in 2015, Nyoy Volante said he never imagined he would be returning to the show as a mentor in the newest season of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids. “It’s definitely a big help sa akin knowing kung ano yung pagdadaanan nila and what it takes to do it and the right things to do are, what the wrong things to do are. Definitely it’s a big help para sa akin to have had experience as a contestant din before,” he shared during the YFSF Kids press launch held last April 24 inside ABS-CBN.
The talented singer said he is used to being around kids and is impressed with this year’s batch of young talents which include child stars Onyok Pineda, Noel Comia, Chunsa, Krystal Brimner, among others. “I would say I’m used to kids, yes. I think the term is tolerant eh kasi maraming okay naman with kids pero hindi sila tolerant in a sense na mabilis sila mapagod. Feeling ko okay naman ako. Well they’re very talented. Sobrang they have exceeded the expectations na meron kami. Siyempre nung wala na ang dami-dami naming iniisip like kung kaya ba nila ito pero sobrang nilagpasan nila yun. Makulit sila because they are kids but hindi naman sila yung hindi mo ma-te-train. Pag sinabihan mo sila, right away babalik sila sa mode of learning,” he explained.
Nyoy said he will probably not be performing this season in order to focus on mentoring and teaching the kids but he will never forget his favorite moments as a YFSF contestant three years ago. “I think everyone would remember either yung Luciano Pavarotti or yung Sylvia La Torre kasi yun talaga yung halos hindi mo na talaga ako makilala (laughs),” he said.
