Talking with DJ Jhai Ho on Hotspot, he said that for him, it wasn't a big deal because he was enjoying the beach and he was just being himself.
"I have the right to do it like everybody else," he said.
The singer also said that he understands why people reacted that way.
"Naiintindihan ko po yun na parang medyo wild para sa kanila to see a trans man na nakatopless."
Jake added that everyone has that right to post what they want.
"If you want to post a photo na alam mong confident ka, na alam mong proud ka, then why not."
