Enrique Gil opened up on Magandang Buhay's March 2 episode on feelings of resentment when he was asked how it felt entering showbiz at an early age for his family.
“Resentment, I wouldn’t say it. Sometimes I would feel it, I would think about it,” Enrique said, saying he wouldn’t give up what he has right now but also admitted that it was hard stepping up at an early age to provide for his family.
“I wouldn’t say na mas maganda ‘to kaysa sa tatay ko. I wouldn’t say that,” Enrique added.
“I had the resentment maybe 2 to 3 years ago nung 8th year ko sa showbiz,” Enrique said, pertaining to the non-stop projects he had then and realizing he has missed so much.
“Pag-uwi ko sa bahay, nakipagkwentuhan ako with my sister and yung mga friends niya. (Tapos sabi ko) ‘Oh, second year high school na yan oh. Kaka-highs chool pa lang niyan.’ Sabi ng kapatid ko, ‘Kuya magco-college na ‘ko,'” Enrique said.
His sister, Diandra, is currently in London pursuing her college degree. Enrique became emotional talking about their bunso and how hard it is to be far away from her.
“It’s hard kasi we grew up, close po kami,” he said. “Very close.”
