During the shoot for the second episode of One Music Presents: Tunog Star Magic with Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador, the Kapamilya celebrities gave an honest answer after getting asked about how they felt towards the Metro Manila Film Festival committee's decision not to include their movie My Fairy Tail Love Story in the 2017 edition of the annual film fest.
"Honestly speaking, we kind of felt a bit bad nung hindi siya nakapasok sa MMFF. Because that's how it started, eh. We actually submitted it talaga—we finished the movie in time for the submission of MMFF. But then, it didn't get in," Janella Salvador admitted.
Looking at the positive side of things, Janella said she eventually realized that there is a purpose as to why their film got moved to a later date.
"Honestly, this is the time that I realized na sobrang galing din ng pagka-orchestrate ni God. Nilagay niya sa Valentine's Day 'yung showing kasi it's perfect for Valentine's Day—and we didn't even realize that. Like we only realized it when it happened," she said.
"It's a blessing in disguise talaga na hindi siya nakasama sa MMFF. The movie is perfect for Valentine's Day," she added.
Meanwhile, Elmo Magalona seconded Janella's thoughts saying: "Unexpected siyempre na that happened but we're really happy na that happened. But ayun din I'm really happy that we got the Valentine date mismo."
